i am very angry right now with a recent purchase i bought two foam swords and they were far two strong and filled with a thick wood the padding was almost useless and gave us many bruises i payed 45 dollars for two overpriced to begin with. so if you guys know of anything i would really appreciate it thank you

Look into full metal training replicas or wooden bokkens or even nerf swords.
When you say armor I think of full plate, leather, or fencing regulation.

Proper sword sparring requires padding. If your not using padding or having proper training you shouldnt use any swords whether they’re wood or not. I would suggest nerf swords from Walmart. If you really feel like using a real practice sword try a traditional bamboo training bokken. Wear padding..
Most are made same way wood sword with foam. There are many brands out there. Not sure which one you bought. Try a different manufacturer or maybe try to lighten up the strikes and try not to kill each other.
