Anyone in Guernsey thinking of studying Computing and IT with the Open University in October 2013?

I am thinking of studying Computing and IT Bsc (Hons) at the Open University in October 2013 and was wondering whether any fellow Guern’s were thinking of studying this course in October too.
There seems to be a few informal Open University support groups set up by students across the UK but I cannot find an OU group in Guernsey (for Computing and IT).
It would be great if a local support group could be set up for regular meetings so that Islanders can have another way of supporting fellow students face-to-face rather than video chat or paying to fly to England to meet.

When I did Computer Science with the OU, we started with regional conferences but quickly found that this made no sense. In the end I found friends all over the UK. Many of us would only meet face to face at the M500 revision conference. We became very close and are still in touch 10 years later. I don’t think you should worry.
