Bonsai tree dying, not sure what to do?

I have a little green ficus bonsai tree from Lowes and I’m just not quite sure what to do with it. It says it needs both high light and temperatures above degrees Fahrenheit. So, what I’ve been doing is keeping it outside during the day and inside at night when it gets colder. Is this bad? The leaves are starting to look light, almost like they are being bleached out. Some look like they are about to fall off. Should I just keep it inside with not as much light or just keep it outside and let the autumn weather do what it will? I really don’t want this thing to die…

  • I assume this is a Ficus Benjamina? If so, they HATE being moved at all. This is a tropical tree, so keep it inside in an area where it will get bright light and leave it there. It will die outside. The light leaves you see are going to fall off. In fact it may lose most of it’s leaves because of all the moving around, but new ones will grow.
