Do I have to use present tense or past tense when writing a book?

I just start writing a book today and I’m 15.Can you please guide me on how to write a book too.Thank you I really appreciate your help! 🙂 Sorry for the bad english

  • It’s up are written both in the present as well as in the past tense, depending on what you want to say.

  • Write the story from the viewpoint of your characters. If they are thinking of the past, write in past tense, if they are looking forward to the future, write in future tens, and consequently if they are in the present, write in present tense.

    Start with write a chapter or an outline. Whichever is pulling you to write.
