  • Not really. Edge did not become a serious title contender until his return in 24 and during that time Triple H was the main face of WWE even though Chris Benoit was champion for apart of the year. In 25 it was mostly John Cena and Batista who rose to the top of WWE. Edge did a great job of being the top superstar on Smackdown in 27 and 28 but he never has been the main face of WWE. I would even say Randy Orton has come closer to being the main face of WWE than Edge has.
