Fellow pool players has this ever happened to you?

I was practicing as much as ever. Getting better and did hings that I never did before (Running a 4 pack of 9 Ball), Than all of a sudden one evening no matter what I couldn’t focus at all. This went on for a week. Decided to take a week break. Did that and when I started to practice again I couldn’t focus. That has been about a month ago. I am worried that I might be burned out on pool for good

A lot of stuff going on in my life right now that has made it hard for me to focus on anything really

  • This is fairly common with playing pool or at least it was for myself. I got to where I couldn’t miss even if I was not looking even ran 3 consecutive racks in 8-ball once but it is common to have lapses and inconstancy until you really hone your stroke and position play/speed just play through it or take a little more time off.
  • I know the feeling. I always just go back to the fundamentals if i’m having an off night. Usually helps with the shakes too. I always tell people who ask to get comfortable with your stroke first then work on your eyes.
