How can I get my TI-84 Plus calculator to factor polynomials?
Examples:
1. I’d like to be able to type into my calculator: RS+4ST
and the calculator give the answer: S(R+4T)
2. I’d like to be able to type into my calculator: 2AY^2-AXY+6XY-3X^2
and the calculator give me the answer: -(X-2Y)(AY+3X)
Does such a program exist for the TI-84 Plus Calculator? I’ve looked around quite a bit and haven’t had any luck. Keep in mind that I’m entirely unfamiliar with programming calculators.

Factor Any Polynomial is one of the best ones available to use. It is available here.

I do stress, though, that you should really try to understand how to factor polynomials yourself and use the program as more of a checker for homework, because if you don’t, then higher level math classes and anything in engineering, possibly even some of the other sciences, will be difficult to understand.
