For example, if someone does a experiment and they graph in, which axis is the independent variable and which one is the dependent variable

  • If you have algebra you have worked with equations like y = ax + c

    The x is the independent variable, the one you put a number into to get the dependent variable y as the result. Change in x directly causes the change in y when the values for a & c are held constant.
