How can your Ex be able to take away your parenting rights?

If they can prove that you are in some way an unfit parent, they can take away your rights. They can try using just about anything, it all comes down to a matter of how it holds up in court, and the judge’s impressions of both parents. I believe they can also have your rights taken away if you are supposed to be paying support and fail to, or if you repeatedly cancel or fail to show up when you are supposed to have your time with the child.

If they can prove that your existence in the child’s life could be dangerous or if you’ve abandoned the child. My son’s father disappeared in Jan 98….his rights can be terminated.
