How do you Get rid of the smell of Syrup on Cloths?

i made a halloween costume with blood on it and used sugar,oil,and syrup plus red food dye…now i smell like a pancake which isn’t cute sooo any ideas how to get the smell off the dress. Its an all white dress so i cant wash it because the red will get in the water & make the dress pink. iv aired it out last night but still kinda smells sooo any ideas?

Have you tried spraying it with some types of sprays? Like perhaps some sprays that would make it smell like something else?
