How do you know your a NASCAR fan?

Maybe because I have spent thousands of dollars on NASCAR & Driver ralated merchandise. Not to mention the amout of money I have spent on tickets, hotel rooms, & gas to & from races. And I have driven 11 miles (1way) to wach the final race of the season at Homestead-Miami Speedway & had to take a 1 week unpaid vacation to go. And I purchased tickets up to 11 months in advance of a race.

Oh…and because I can’t wait to move to Daytona Beach because all I need is the racetrack & to beach to feel at home.

When you don’t refer to the drivers but you refer to the car number. You know all of them by heart and you refer to the 18 or the 24 or the 19. THAT is how you know you are a NASCAR fan.

While on vacation last summer I taught my daughter to check the lanes left or right and say clear when I could change! It was more or less a game to pass time on the road and I didn’t take her word for it being clear, but I think it is just the kind of thing a Nascar fan would do!! Or a moron?

The way that you know you are is a fan is when you find yourself watching every race and going out of your way to watch all the races. If you are a member of a fan club, own die cast, have NASCAR.COM as your homepage for the internet. I think that is the way that you know that you are a true fan. You are also a fan when you go to arace track and have tickets to a race that is in your town. I go to Fontana, CA every Labor Day since I am a student and can not go in Feburary. I think that shows that I am a true fan. I also have some shirts and die cast. I think that I would cancel a plan so that I could see the race. That shows that I am a true fan.

I know it because I’m addicted to the skilled drivers going 2mph, drafting with some of their bitter rivals just so they can get into the lead and win. It gets my adrenaline going. It is my 2nd favorite SPORT.

I have grown up in a football family. I have recently adopted NASCAR as a favorite sport of mine. Summer is the best because I don’t have to juggle NASCAR and football. Except on weeks where there are no race. I’ll probably watch the final 50 laps of a NNS race or the final 25 laps of a CTS race.

When you’ve answered over 3,0 NASCAR questions in Y/A in a little over a year and a half LOL Not to name names mind you. Also, when you record practices, qualifying, NASCAR Now and almost anything else racing related that you can’t watch “live”.

For me personally, all I have do is look at my Kevin Harvick keychain, my Harvick and Truex Jr diecasts, my Harvic fan club t-shirt, and the fact that I dvr every race in case I am not home when its on. Oh, I also do fantasy league Nascar on yahoo, and my homepage when I log onto the net is Nascar.com

Well ive spent thousands of dollars on the sport to include going to races, memorabilia, and food at the tracks. Ive drove thousands of miles going to and coming home from races, when I lived in hawaii for a year I woke up at 7am every weekend to watch nascar on tv, now that im in Iraq when I get the chance I wake up at 4 in the morning to watch night races and stay up until 2am for day races, ive spent countless hours walking around Daytona, talladega, Homestead, and Texas speedways looking for my car and visiting trailers. id say that show I know im a fan.

I’ve foresaken other sports that I was once fanatic about, like

football, baseball, etc. . . Now NASCAR is pretty the only sport I follow with the possible exception of formula 1.
