  • Your prbly going to hate to hear this, but the only true way to fight all skin problems including wide pores is accutane. It isn’t as bad as everyone says it is. Most of what you hear is just hype. It does not make you stupid, it does not cause depression, infertility, or any physical health problems. Trust me I was on it for a year and a half and now my skin is as smooth as a baby’s bottom. The only thing it does is cause dry lips in which vaseline is a must, and harm to an unborn fetus. So you must NOT GET PREGNANT while on it. You have to get monthly blood tests, but their a piece of cake. It has truly been a miracle worker because I have not had a single zit or any kind of oily skin for years now. It is pearly white movie star skin. A beautiful clear complexion. Plus the whole concept on how the medicine works is to shrink the pores and dry them up permanatley, so there you go your problem solved. Hope this helps 🙂

  • Try a primer. Sephora sells tons of them. I like Smashbox’s and Too Faced Primed and Poreless.

  • when/if you use your daily skin cleanser, use cold water to go along with it. cold water closes up your pores and along with your cleanser (let’s hope whatever you use works well) you’ll get flawless skin in no time :). also, use liquid cover-up often. but make sure its the correct color of your skin or you’ll look like a clown.

  • First of all, do NOT listen to the person who suggested accutane. Accutane is a very serious drug with many negative side effects, and is used only in cases of severe acne. That person is absolutely nuts.

Wash your face with cold water-never warm. Moisturize well and use egg white masks once a week. Adding a bit of lemon to these works well also. When you powder your face, use a puff to pat it on your skin instead of a brush. This is very important.

  • I used to be a lifeguard exposed to the sun 8 hrs a day.. and you’d be surprised how it enlarged my pores and did other damage…

If your looking for a cosme-ceutical that will help, I highly recommend a microdermabrasion treatment: Mary Kay has the best at-home microderm treatment for an economical price (if you were to go to a spa, it costs like $150-200 for one treatment!) You use this treatment 1-3 times a week, after cleansing:

  • Wash your face every evening. It is essential to cleanse your skin from the day’s makeup, oil and bacteria. You only need to wash your face once a day though. Excessive cleansing can make your skin overproduce oil, exacerbating your large pores.
Exfoliate your skin with a facial scrub. Dead skin cells often rest on the surface of your skin. If they are left to remain there, they can rest inside your pores, making them look larger. Regular exfoliation sloughs away these dead cells and helps skin to appear fresher.
Apply a mask to your skin once a week. Choose one that has deep-cleaning qualities so it will draw impurities out of your pores. If your pores are clean, they will look tighter.
Hydrate your skin with a moisturizer that is appropriate for your skin type. Even if you have oily skin, moisturizer is essential. It helps to maintain your skin’s pH balance and prevents overproduction of oil. If you have dry skin, choose a rich moisturizer while oily skin types should opt for oil-free options. Your pores will appear less noticeable if your skin is healthy.
Use pore strips on your skin. These strips bind to debris and dirt that is lodged in your pores. When you remove the strip, the gunk should come with it. You’ll notice your pores appear tighter if you use the strips regularly.
Drink plenty of water each day. Water helps to flush away toxins in the skin. Oftentimes, dehydration exacerbates large pores so proper hydration is essential.
