You always hear that paintball is one of the fasts growing sports out there, but how popular is it really getting? Dose anybody have any good statistics?

Last time I bothered to check the stats it had around 8 million paintball players (from occasional players to regular players) in the US
Paintball is cheaper and is a better choice for most youth. 80% of people choose paintball over air soft. Airsoft is also not aloud in many playing fields or housing communitys so you may have a better chance of playing paintball over airsoft.
