If i can give my example, would anyone be kind enough to tell me the best choice of word for….? ty?

So, in the house i live i dont talk to this person that i will be using in my example, anyway.

I would start walking down the stairs and they start going up it. Knowing that it might be abit of a squeeze midway i shimmy/go over to my left a little then i think i see… the other person not moving an inch and carry on walking up the stairs.

2nd time- i walk down stairs (this was just earlier today), the person comes up stairs. Might i add its, well, i think unfortunate we both choose to use stairs at same time but it just happen.
Being the person i am i think, ok, lets move a bit to prevent a bump between us crossing then i remembered. So i move left abit anyway then stand there looking to this persons path. Seeing if they move even a little bit. NOTHING, they continue up the stairs, passing me no tmoving an inch out of courtesy.

My question is, what word best describes what i think this person is obviously forgetting. I might have even used a word earlier that maybe desribes this (courtesy-perhaps?).

So what word you think fits this bill. This does bug me the persons lack of awareness and i just kinda feel abit confused with the best choice of word for this thing in all.

Hope my question makes some sort of sense, hope you people can help me out :).

bb.thank you for taking the time to read this.

“Courtesy” is the correct word for what this person is not displaying, Game’. “Domination” is the proper word for what this person IS displaying. This person is the ‘alpha dog,’ or thinks s/he is.
As it seems to trouble you, I would suggest you try something. You say you don’t speak, but might I suggest starting? Just a “Hello” or “Morning” to start, even if you still have the not moving over problem. It might break the ice and solve the problem.

Don’t be fooled. This person is fully aware of what they are doing and they have a reason for doing it. They are trying to assert themselves to let you know that they are powerful and in control as they try to intimidate you. This type of behavior is passive aggressive, self centered and rude not to have common courtesy or social grace. You can also add inconsiderate and disrespectful to the list.
