Is it bad to drink alone for experimental purposes?

I am almost 21 and have had numerous chances to get drunk with friends. I have never been drunk before, and I am kind scared about how I will act around others. For experimental purposes, just to see how i can handle myself, can I drink alone? Is this a bad idea?

  • its fine just don’t drink too much. idk why so many pansies are afraid of drinking alone

  • Drinking on your own is fine though it can get a bit lonely just make sure that you keep occupied. Your body will force you to stop drinking when you’ve had enough by making you throw up and/or pass out.

Though keep in mind you may act differently when drinking around people than you do while alone.

  • You could just as easily change your question to read “Is it bad to drink poison alone for experimental purposes?” At some point your ability to reason correctly will be come clouded and then who knows what might happen.

  • It would be a better idea to start drinking when you’re 21, with some friends. Take it slow and just have one drink at a time, and drink water in between your drinks if you are nervous.

Remember – beer has much less alcohol than liquor or wine, so start with that. Have a few beers with your friends and you’ll be able to experiment and see just how alcohol affects you – and it will be much more fun than drinking alone!
