i sometimes run out of change and i never buy pack of ciggies. so at office if i dont find change i ask the person sitting next to me to give me 10 rupees to buy a cig. i do it almost every other 2 days.. is it a okayish thing to do?

No. Unless you pay them back. Or do like I do and pay them back extra.
When needed I’ve asked, received and paid back more. They were happy to loan the next time.
Doing it once is okay, but it’s become a habit for you now. He is going to start getting annoyed. I know I would be annoyed too.
As long as you pay him back the very next day.
But don’t do it too often or he’ll get annoyed.
