Microsoft security and Norton?

I bought a refurbished dell laptop loaded with windows xp, which is what I prefer. I previously had Norton on my old laptop. This new laptop came with Microsoft Security, which I updated when I got it. First, can I get my Norton transferred to my new laptop and how or what do I need to do this? Second, do I need it with MS security already installed? Would I need to uninstall MS security if I am able to transfer my Norton subscription! Thank you for any help you can give me!!!

  • If you have the activation number for you Norton product you can download it from the site and install it on your new pc. I recommend you first download your program without installing then remove your Microsoft security essential and after wards install Norton and activate it. Unless you installed Norton several times it wown’t be a problem to re install it again on your pc. Good luck.
