My dog is is acting weird?

My dog sleeps a lot (not lately, just originally) and when we first got him he was so hyper and stuff (now he’s 3 years old). But now he’ always super hyper and wide awake at 11: pm- 4: am. And he sleeps in my room every night, but every night, he scratches at the door at 3: am and begs me to take him outside, and I do. But in the day, he looks like he’s all bored and sad and just sleeps and eats and just wonders around and stuff. I don’t like to see him bored in the day so I take him outside and play with him as much as I can, but after we’re done he goes right back to sleeping and wondering around. I think my dog has an irregular sleep pattern (does that even matter for dogs?). Does he need a friend/another dog to play with? He rarely ever sees any other dog except my neighbor’s dog. And plus, I feed him a healthy diet! His regular dog food, cold turkey, and some carrots. He is a small white maltese, is there something wrong with him? He has been like this since september.

Dog will sleep 14 hours a day get some playtime in during your hours and try to adjust his schedule; I had a Border that use to drop tennis balls on my head all night. I give him major playtime and a walk before bed.

what you need to do is try and get a friends dog over and if that doesn’t work don’t let him out at three in the morning if that doesn’t work take him to a vet
