  • Shut the unit down for a couple of hours and restart ,maybe that the unit is froze up

  • give the unit a good cleaning inside and out then it should run better.

in extreme heat it will produce less water because it is running in higher temps so it isn’t unusuall to stop dripping in the hottest parts of the day but mornings evenings and night time it should still make water.

in the evening while the unit has been running for a minute, place your hand on the inside coils and it should feel wet the whole way top to bottom, if not then it might be low on freon

  • Remove and clean or replace the air filter. Go outside and using a garden hose, spray water into the back to clean & remove all the dirt buildup from the aluminum fins of the evaporator coil. Push a piece of wire into the drain hole to remove any clog due to dirt buildup in the catch tray. If none of that works, call for service unless the machine is older than years. In that case, recycle it and buy a new one.

  • Sounds like the cooling coils have frosted over. A filter is to keep the dirt and dust off them. When they get covered with ice you no longer get cooling but also that condensed moisture is frozen. Hence, no drip. Turn it off (sorry) and let the ice evaporate. It should work but if you don’t clean those coils and keep a good filter on it, it will happen again.
