Opinions on the United States?!?

So I’m just 13 and curious! So don’t think I’m dumb..well…anyways, I mean, I’ve never left the country, so I just wanted to know what people think about the United States! If other countries can see this…I don’t know. Lol. But yeah! Anything from economy and government, to oh lets say, music, climate, geography, the people, technology, and I think that’s it…so yeah! Thanks!!

Update:

Oh! And this is mainly for people who don’t live in the United States! But you can still answer. Haha. Oh, and maybe tell me about what you think of our pace of life

Update 2:

One more thing! If you’re not in the United States, could you tell me what country you live in? Thanks!

Update 3:

By the way, I live in the western part if the United States. I live in Colorado.

Update 4:

Well I don’t know if you can see my e-mail or not. But since I’m 13 I won’t put it out there. But if you have any questions about America, you could comment your e-mail down below and then I’ll e-mail you!

  • I think that it is an ok place but I don’t agree with the gun laws and I think that I is a country full of, financial inequality, racism, stupidity, rednecks, meddlers, and its government can’t get along with itself.

  • From a Australian’s point of view.

I think you are a lucky person to live where you live. I am eager to visit your great nation with my wife and children. We are un impressed by your current situation in government as we are of a christian nature and some of the policy’s put through contradict that.

Other than that we are exited to dive deep into your culture. We would like to take a river cruise on a paddle steamer down the Mississippi and experience some of your fine history.

The kids are of course very eager to visit Disney land and probably other parks.

We in Australia have incredibly hot Christmas’s and we would love to experience a white Christmas.

There are a couple of things we wish to not experience because we don’t really get them here and that is Tornado’s Earthquakes Tsunami’s Mass murders or Terra attaches.

I have met some exiting Americans on this site but I have also met a particularly scary American man that was incredibly nasty to my trusting wife.

I understand your culture to be very fast paced were as were I live is a little more laid back which is good because I don’t think I could keep up.

  • Yes, other countries can see this. This website is divided by language, so people from USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Philippines, India, and Singapore can see this question. People in other places would have to click onto the Yahoo site for one of those countries to see it.

I think the US represents the best, and the worst, of the developed world. There are so many incredible things to be said about the USA, and yet that is counterbalanced by the aspects of politics and culture that seem completely backwards to everyone else in the developed world.

The USA is a leader in every industry, produces all types of music, produces incredible athletes, has beautiful scenery, and the best universities in the world.

On the other hand, the USA is plagued by its unique brand of conservatism which goes far beyond the conservative ideals found in other developed countries, it has worse social problems related to poverty, it is overrun with religion (no other developed country is nearly as religious), and it has the developed world’s worst universities right alongside the best ones (for-profit schools like University of Phoenix, Everest, and so many more.)

I can’t avoid mentioning military power. Many regard that as a great thing, and many regard it as folly. Whatever one’s individual opinion may be, it is abundantly clear that the USA is still the world’s leading military superpower.

    edit:

Regarding economics, that’s hard to say. On one hand, the USA is the world’s biggest economy, and it succeeds in every type of industry from primaries like farming and oil up to high tech R&D. But on the other hand, America’s status as an economic superpower leaves the door open to extremely high level white collar crimes and corruption. It’s not like the USA is turning into Russia or anything, but just look at everything that unfolded in 28. American banks imploded the entire world’s economy, and it was later discovered that one of Wall Street’s major investment banks was actually just a huge illegal ponzi scheme all along. The scary thing is that if one major institution was a complete sham all along, then how many other institutions are also stealing billions of dollars to this day because they haven’t been caught?

  • Economy: Sucks. We are broke. Over 15 trillion dollars in debt and climbing.

Government: Constantly wipes its butt with the Constitution. The rights you think you have, you don’t.

Music: Today’s “music” makes my ears bleed.

Climate: It’s like mother nature is having a bipolar meltdown

Geography: Western USA is very mountainous and geologically unstable. The Midwest is mostly all great plains, but can be subject to the strongest of winds and other harsh weather. Eastern USA is mountainous also, and fairly hectic to navigate due to high populations and numerous, confusing roads.

People: Mostly ignorant, intolerant, rude, fat, and stupid.

Technology: So advanced that people are sucked into it like bugs are to the blue light of a zapper.

    My experience, my opinions.

  • America is a country of dreams and a fountain of ideas. Many countries are copying America and American designs so that they are going to make the same mistakes as America.

  • by ability of all ability, i could vote for him – despite if he replaced right into a Muslim, see you later as he did no longer carry his faith into our government. i’m bored with our president believing that his faith is the only one that concerns – and permit’s no longer forget approximately that god talks to him. If we are able to get faith faraway from government, i may be the happiest woman contained in the worldwide. i think of that human beings who have faith what you pronounced – that Obama is an attempt by ability of the Islamic worldwide to income administration of the White homestead – are paranoid conspiracy theorists. that’s this form of Republican propoganda that keeps human beings from making sensible, counseled comments.

Will book publishing experience help me break into magazine publishing?

So, what I'm really excited doing is magazine publishing, but on a lower level, I'm also fairly open to book publishing too. I've recently been offered a book publishing internship which I've taken. It seems interesting so far, but if I apply to magazine jobs after this, will BOOK publishing experience seem translatable or relevant enough as books differ widely from magazines?1 Answer? Favorite AnswerAny publishing experience will help you break into magazine publishing.

Will the ware began in baghdad soon?

✅ Answers ? Best Answer Yes: Tupperware is going international. I think the real war should be fought over the fact we allow students to graduate who can't spell words like "war" and articulate a clear sentence. It's bad enough to give a diploma to illiterates, but to give them jobs too is a serious crime.
