“Snap.do” Virus Help?

So I’ve fallen upon the clutches of this annoying virus called Snap.do (Yes laugh at me for accidentally installing it) But anyway I don’t necessarily have it installed, in fact i’m following this guide:
http://botcrawl.com/how-to-remove-snap-do-and-search-snap-do-malware-from-your-computer-and-internet-browser/
And I’m pretty much doing what it says, it’s telling me to do certain stuff since there are different components of this virus. But it turns out I don’t need to or something but anyway it’s not working and the only thing (I believe the only thing) that I see is left of this virus is the fact that when I type something in the address bar to search (I’m using google chrome) it redirects me to snap.do’s search. So if anyone can help me and tell me how to fix this I’d greatly appreciate

Edit: Please don’t tell me to go to add/remove programs and click uninstall on Snap.do cause it doesn’t appear there and that’s kinda what I meant by I don’t necessarily have it installed. Also, I DID run a full Anti-Malware scan, and nothing showed up, so that didn’t help.

    1. Check the Local Area Network (LAN) settings of your system
    2. Check whether DNS settings have been changed by Redirect Virus
    3. Check your Windows HOSTS file contents
    4. Check Internet Explorer add-ons. Get rid of unknown or suspicious add-ons contained there
    5. Use Kaspersky TDSSKiller (TDSS Killer) application to get rid of malware belonging to the clan of Rootkit.Win32.TDSS
    6. Scan your system with decent anti-virus program and malware killer
    7. Consider using CCleaner to delete unwanted system/temp files and browser cache
    8. The last but not the least, reset your Router back to the factory default settings
