Thanks Letter to in-laws for hospitality?

Please someone who can relate and have a SENSE OF HUMOR. Long story short I married a Canadian.. I’m Texan and her parents hate me because she’s moving back to TX where we met and will be a U.S. citizen. I want to write them a letter of thanks for letting me visit but also throw in something sarcastic just because her dad does it to me all the time so why not in the thank you letter they will not care about!? Can anyone think of anything on the edge but not just knock down harsh? Thanks!

  • Just because her dad is sarcastic, doesn’t mean you have to stoop to his level. If you want to write a thank you letter, be a gentleman and be sincere. I doubt that they HATE you, but they probably dislike the fact that their daughter will be living so far away from them. I can’t blame them for that.

    I do have a sense of humor, but in this case, I think you should be respectful and write a nice letter. Just because her dad acts like a jerk, doesn’t mean you should!
