They said its my fault. But its not?

Last year i bought a laptop and it worked fine. After about 4 or 5 months the fan started making a noise that sounded like it was gonna blow . So i took back to were i bought it and because it was still under warranty they fixed it for me. I picked it up from them about 5 days later and it was fixed. BUTthe thing is its not working properly.
I mean when i turn it on its fine the fan doesnt make noise or anything but it asks for an activation key. I called them up and told them and the lady was such a ***** shes like we didnt touch it its probably your fault. Straight up i didnt take that i snapped back i was like Look its not my fault you guys made it worse for me if knew it was this shitt i wouldnt have bought it.. andd i kept going on, the lady didnt know what to say but she told me to give it back to them and they could see what they could do.
I dont wanna give it to them cause im scared their gonna make it worse . All i need is an activation key. But i dont have a cd and my lil brother took the sticker under my laptop off. I was hoping some one could help me.

  • just get a pirated copy of windows and stop worrying about activation

@joel it’s pretty obvious what she’s talking about dipshit, she needs an activation key to activate windows, and wasn’t supplied one.
you’re not gonna solve this without somehow getting a key, which would usually involve buying one.. get an activation crack off the internet and just forget about it

  • “it asks for an activation key”

Nobody knows what you’re talking about. *What* asks for an activation key? What is the exact message you get and what program is it coming from?

  • Buy a copy of the OS of your choice!

  • take it back or take it to court

  • What version of Windows are you using & can you start in Safe Mode?

It sounds like your system wasn’t activated with Microsoft in time, it probably expired while it was being repaired & now it requires activation before you can use it further.

Check your original documentation for your Windows license key or insist that the store where you bought it check for you as they should have it on record matched with your serial number. Definitely pursue this problem with them no-matter what they try do/say they obviously must keep records of their stock & who bought what. Don’t let them shrug you off.

Although you could easily use one you find on-line, why should you when you purchased a genuine one? I would recommend you use your original to prevent ending up with the ‘non-genuine software’ notice in future & having to re-install Windows again…
