Tips for IGCSE Spanish Reading and Writing CIE?

Basically I have my IGCSE Spanish reading and Writing tomorrow and I’m freaking out. Like, the last two sets of questions (Section 3) is where I always mess up , I find the vocab quite difficult. Do you guys have any tips or something which will help me get this ****.
Thanks

  • I have mine tomorrow as well. My top tip would just be make sure you max out on sections 1 and 2, cause you can get none of section 3 right and still do fine if you do well at the start. And also don’t worry, if you can’t answer a question at first just think and I guarantee you’ll be surprised at what comes to mind. Above all don’t stress, there’s people at my school doing this exam who probably couldn’t give you 20 words in Spanish
  • hey! i also have my spanish tomorrow- same exam as you… and i completely agree its hard but what i do is just translate the paragraph in my head BEFORE answering any of the questions just to have a rough idea about finding the answers…. good luck! hopefully we’ll be fine 🙂

  • I’ve also got mine tomorrow as well! I’d agree with the others, try and maximise your marks on the first two sections, because if you get full marks on both of those then I think you’ve got a low B already (depending on the boundaries, obviously).

Read the passages + questions carefully – try to gauge what they’re looking for. Don’t try and match up words in the questions with words in the passages because they often do that in Section 3 to trick you. Just read everything carefully and try your best. Good luck! 🙂
