I have a passion to become a mechanical engineer. I would like to have my own custom bike shop. I will be a senior for the next school year. I have good grades, and i also have an acceptance to Yale University. I want to be able to design my bike, and build it. Please if mechanical engineering is not the right career for me, what would it be.

Mechanical engineering would be a good major for that. I think however the problem isn’t in your choice of a major, I think you’re aiming a bit low. You got accepted to Yale I say go to Yale, study whatever field interests you and go from there. By the time you graduate your priorities will change. If you just want to do custom bikes, experience is worth more than a degree + however much in student loans.
