What happened to the mouse?

Me and my friends were outside, and we found a baby mouse. No animals were around, and no other babies. My friend has cats that frequently go outside, and would eat the small mouse, so we decided to take matters into our own hands,. We dipped it’s mouth in some water, and after a while, the mouse began to open it’s eyes and move around. We also tried to feed it some cheese and dandelion milk. I had to go, so we took a piece of cheese and laid the mouse on top of it. We put a bowl on top of the whole thing so no animals would eat it. The next morning my friend came out and the mouse and the cheese were gone. The bowl looked like it hadn’t been touched. What do you think happened to it? Here’s our ideas:

1. He was miraculously able to somehow get under the bowl, and another animal got to the cheese.

2. A cat ate it.

  • Mice can squeeze under/through anything. I had a mouse that escaped by lifting its cage top, then again because the glass shattered into an inch hole (my mouse was fat too) I’m a mouse owner and know that mice can get under anything. But you should be careful when touching baby mice because if the mother smells human on it, she will kill the baby.
