  • In a word,water!Willows thrive on moisture,as can be seen by any watercourse.If wished,apply a diluted seaweed fertilizer,but it’s not really needed.A mulch of well rotted manure,or compost will encourage growth.If it’s felt that a fertilizer is required,always apply an organic one like blood,fish and bone,or sterilized bonemeal.

    NPK (Chemical sources) will not enhance growth,especially of mature trees and shrubs.

  • Willows should be fertilized at least once a year. Most people don’t think they need too be, but they can benefit from the extra Nitrogen, Phosphorus, & Potassium to help them thrive as well.

    They are a tree after all.

    I use a basic –, or if it is out of stock at the store, I will use a , , type.

    There are many brands out there, but you can just buy the least experience, it works just as well.
