In a word,water!Willows thrive on moisture,as can be seen by any watercourse.If wished,apply a diluted seaweed fertilizer,but it’s not really needed.A mulch of well rotted manure,or compost will encourage growth.If it’s felt that a fertilizer is required,always apply an organic one like blood,fish and bone,or sterilized bonemeal.
NPK (Chemical sources) will not enhance growth,especially of mature trees and shrubs.

Willows should be fertilized at least once a year. Most people don’t think they need too be, but they can benefit from the extra Nitrogen, Phosphorus, & Potassium to help them thrive as well.
They are a tree after all.
I use a basic –, or if it is out of stock at the store, I will use a , , type.
There are many brands out there, but you can just buy the least experience, it works just as well.
