  • The Easy Transfer Wizard is a program that takes the most common files that need to be copied when you change from one computer to another and puts them into a single location for you. This includes things like your “My Documents”, but also some of the basic settings for Windows itself. It can be used to moved the information between two computers with the same version of Windows (such as from one XP computer to another) or to a computer with a different version (such as from a Vista to a Win PC).

It does NOT copy any of your installed programs between the computers. You have to reinstall those from the original disk or download. It only transfers data and some basic settings.
