Give her the gift of your time. A great way to do this is to give her a card with a handwritten “gift certificate” inside for a day spent with you, doing whatever she wants to do.
Mothers who say they don’t want anything for Christmas usually have one of two motivations:
1. They have everything they want/need, or what they want is way out of anyone’s price range.
2. They are concerned about their children’s financial situation and don’t want to make it worse.
This idea solves all those problems but still lets her know that you love her and are thinking of her at Christmas.
A simple card with a thoughtful letter, telling her of the fond memories you have and how she influenced your life. It will prob mean more to her than any gift you could get at the store.
That was my same question. But a Jc Penny Gift card, or a trip to Hawaii is always nice!
Jewelry. Red Envelope has some beautiful necklaces & bracelets specifically for Mom that she will adore (plus it comes in a red box tied in a white ribbon). Go simple, one piece is more than enough.
Make a special homemade card that says you will give her a certain amount of your time. You could.. take her to lunch, see a movie, whatever she would like to do for the time you are sharing.
Make a scrap book or photo album of family photos and memories.
