When I open MS Word it opens it in landscape, how can i make it open portrait?

Do this:

In versions of Word prior to Word :

. Click the File->Page Setup menu item.

. Click the Portrait orientation preview.

. Click the Default button.

In Word :

. Click the Page Layout button on the Ribbon.

. Click the little arrow in the lower right corner of the Page Setup group.

. Continue as in Step , above.
