Here is me:

http://i32.tinypic.com/2u5wa4m.jpg I’m 5’2 105lbs. DON’T TELL ME TO WEAR A SLINKY LONG DRESS. Just because I’m short doesn’t mean I can’t look like a princess. 🙂

Ok, so which dress do you think is pretty and will flatter me more? I was thinking of NOT having a train because I don’t feel like dealing with that. Will that decision make the dress look weird??

Thanks!

Update:

Ha. I know I look young. I’M 21.

Update 2:

  • You look very tiny and you said you are short and the wedding is simple. I like the first one for that. Its beautiful but yet simple and gives you the look of a princess but doesnt overwhelm your body with dress. But if you are wanting a more fancy over the top dress the second it will be very heavy for you and you will be having to carry it around all night (while wearing it is what i mean)

  • The first dress is alot nicer than the second. Those pick up skirts are just too trendy and unattractive. Ugly skirt aside, they’re the same dress just with different details. Before you order a dress from ebay, go to some bridal shops and try on similar styles to make sure that you really like the way you look in a full ball gown. Try on a bunch of different styles so you know what you like and what looks good.

  • Well, if I had to choose I think it would be the 1st one. I think the 2nd one has a skirt that may be too overpowering…but, if I can make a suggestion (I promise I won’t tell you to wear a slinkly long dress). Because of your figure (which is adorable…I’m jealous!) i am not sure how the waist line on either of those dresses are going to look on you. Please don’t take offense, but because your bust is fairly small you may want to consider a dress that has an empire waist/ribbon. Here are some gowns from Maggie Sottero. You can just look at them; if you like them that’s great; and if not then that’s okay too…I just think you can find a dress that would fit your figure much better…but you need to feel beautiful, not me. I already have my dress 🙂

I’m trying to put spaces in the links so the whole thing will show up…ugh

  • Honestly, #2 and I’m not even a big fan of the pick up skirts.

Number one is just too plain to me. It’s so overdone and just boring. It’s very blah.

At least the detailing on the bodice of #2 is a bit more fresh. Also, the pick up skirt gives it a bit more character.

I know you want a very traditional dress, I would stay away from these fuller, ballgown skirts.

Go with a a-line type dress, you’ll still get a full skirt, but it will be more proportioned to your height and weight.

  • Honestly they both are beautiful dresses i love the borrom of dress number 2 i always wanted a dress like that but i am still so drawned to dress number 1. The bottom is so elegant as well as the sequence up top. As I took another look I became more confused I think you should just try them oth on and then see beacuse as I already said they both are lovely.

  • Oh wow seriously the first one is gorgeous!!! I think it would fit your frame perfectly. Being that you are on the shorter side I think it would look better the bottom of the other one might not look the greatest. Nothing wrong with being short by the way I’m only 5’3 😀 I don’t like slinky long dresses and I think that suggesting that because of your height is a terrible idea.

  • OK first of all it is your wedding if you want to look like a princess you go for it! I love the second one. I totally agree with you about the train. I decided to go without one and I was thrilled with my decision. The first one is almost a little too plain and if you decide to cut out the train on the first one you lose the detail on the bottom. As opposed to if you cut out the train on the second one you still have such a beautifully flow for the bottom of the gown. You will look amazing in either one but I would prefer you in the second one!

  • number 2

  • I love both dresses! I think #2 would look better than #1 without a train! And I think you should look like a princess on your wedding day…or any other day you may want to! Congratulations on the wedding!
