  • Well the idea of people who hate the west getting their hands on chemical weapons isn’t something that settles easy for them, The countries around Syria don’t want the violence spilling into their borders either or the refugees. The west wants nothing to do with Syria cause they remember what happened in afghanland back in the 80s. Turkey is a Nato member so when Syria shot down that fighter they gave the west reason to be involved but show restraint. The Rebels called for UN/U.S intervention and they are obligated to respond on the behalf of the UN.

    Reasons:

    – Chemical weapons must not fall into any factions / or be used by either,

    – Turkey is a U.S ally and Nato member so when Syrian anti-air batteries brought down the Turkish fighter they technically committed a act of aggression, should they do it again the U.S will respond.

    – Iran is a ally of Syria so when Israel bombed some Syrian chemical plant that gives reason for Iran and Syria escalate tensions, Do note Israel is not helping the Rebels either but acting on it’s own interest which is to block the Iranian terror group Hezbollah from acquiring the chemical weapons. Quite frankly the Syrian Rebels hate Israel apparently.

*In my personal and professional we shouldn’t get too involved beyond providing intelligence and non-lethal support.

    (No arming them.)

    No providing a No-fly zone)

    (No ground assets)

  • We aren’t in Syria.

For the most part the western governments are doing everything they can to stay out of Syria.

It took self righteous actions in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya to open their eyes to the dangers of involving themselves in the political affairs of the Islamic countries.

They got burnt on them, don’t want that again. Let the Muslims work it out against the Muslims themselves. They don’t need any help from us.

Turkey has asked last week that the western world should move in but who is going to foot the bill? Turkey? Because we already paid for Afghanistan, Libya, Tunisia, Egypt, Iraq and Somalia, as well as Mali as of now. That’s billions and billions of dollars on wasted causes. We can’t afford another bill for another Muslim cause.

So as far as I can see now; we aren’t involved in Syria yet. Any western government that does get involved I would spit on. Enough is enough let the Islamic tribes pay themselves for themselves.
