Why do christians worship the Jews? Is it because they are better?

Jesus said a symbol of his flesh and his blood. We read many times in the bible where we are told to abstain from blood.

Finally I do not think Christians “worship Jews” Yes Jesus was born a Jew and was from the line of King David. However the Jewish leaders turned on him and paid 30 shekels to Judas to betray him. This amount was the price of a slave.

God promised Abraham his friend that the promise seed would come through him by his son Isac and then by his son Jacob and that is what happened with Jesus.

However when Jesus was impaled the Jewish covenant was nailed above his head and he said he makes all things new. The covenant with the Jews was fulfilled and over the new covenant was one that was extended to every nation people tribe and language.

Now the covenant is with “spiritual Jews” or those who chose to do the good will of God to others, this still includes Jewish people who are right hearted but also any others who are right hearted as well.

Now it is true that Jesus did mention eating His flesh and drinking His blood. This is in John’s gospel, chapter 6, but don’t forget the context. Jesus is saying also that His words–sayings–were His flesh and blood. If someone thinks we Christians hold to some view of cannabalism, these folks are sadly mistaken. Besides, can’t we allow Jesus to use hyperbole or figures of speech when He spoke to various groups of people?

Are they worshiping Jesus because he was a Jew? It seems that is what you are suggesting. However, you are further from the truth than is even logical. Perhaps it would be wise if you educated yourself regarding other religions before making snap judgements.

I sure hope nobody worships ME. I’m about the least-worshipable person I know.

I don’t think the DSM-IV addresses religion-as-delusion (or at least, my copy doesn’t); I don’t see a diagnostic code for it, in any case . Do you think the flesh-and-blood stuff would fall under Delerium/dementia, or Eating disorders??? 😉

Christians do not worship Jews, they are actually our brothers and sisters, we are in the same hereditary lineage, Abraham, Jacob, and Isaac are our ancestors through the lineage of Christ. We dont want them to die, or burn in damnation because they dont believe, we want them to remove the vail and believe, we just continue to pray for them, in the end days when the entire world will want to eradicate Israel, the nations will be unable to get to them, they will be in a place no one will be able to get to. Faithful Christians will not be here to experience the end days, thus why we pray for jews. and Jews who believe do not convert, they reman Jewish believers, and there are many jewish believers.

Not all Christians, just the Catholics. The Catholics believe that when they take communion, the wafer and the wine actually turn into the flesh and blood of Christ in their bodies. Weird. They do not worship all Jews, just the Son of God who was a perfect human man of Jewish descent.
