I have a new laptop which was purchased 2 weeks ago. It’s an ASUS VIVOBOOK X202E.
I’ve noticed that when booting, it would display the asus logo and a loading circle. Exactly like in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnbChgMxDJ4
I don’t see the windows logo, intel logo. After that asus loading screen it would display a black screen for a moment then the login screen.
Any help?

if you bought your computer with windows 8 it is going to to boot up with its company logo if it was installed on the computer then you will get the windows 8 boot logo

Under the old system when a computer was booting up the user(s) had an option of going into the Bios to alter the systems settings or picking a boot up (dvd/usb) device on boot.
MS have had Windows 8 computer systems are locked down with the UEFI secure boot system by the Manufactures, under the OME (Original Manufactures Equipment) contract license agreement with MS, The Idea behind MS was to lock the systems down so that only W8 operating system and software could/would only be installed. By doing this gave MS full total control over the user(s) and computer(s) The user(s) would have to do everything MS allows them to do nothing more nothing less. Users now have to buy all the software from Microsoft at high prices. Users can NOT download and install anything they want unless it has a paid for MS digital secure boot signature,
If you don’t except what I am saying then try this, Phone Asus customers service and ask them how you can turn off the UEFI secure boot system, as you want to remove W8 and install Linux or other OS onto your computer. You will be told “Sorry we can’t do that. we are under a contract with MS not to divulge that Information”
But should you want to Jail break W8 then you can now install Linux operating systems because they have now got their own UEFI secure boot system which will allow W8 users to install Linux on theeir systems.
