We know that the prince is a good guy, but his life has changed as so has his attitude and actions. What made him become this way, and how is he fixed? Is he bitter? Lonely? Insecure? Bottled up emotions? Something else I can’t think of?
I’m asking because my mom has been acting like him. For example, Beast says “You will join me for dinner.” He doesn’t understand basic human interaction. Why?
My mom just said to me in passing “We are having breakfast tomorrow morning.” In a commanding tone. Do you see what I’m getting at? This is just one example.

The Beast has short temper and is pretty self conscious. Let’s put ourselves in the Beast’s paws. How would we feel if everyone was afraid of us and thought as us as a hideous, cruel monster? I know that’s what he is (until the end of the book/movie) but that’s because he’s just living under what everyone says. Maybe that’s what’s going on with your mother.
