I draw things with the pen tool and save the document, I closed it and later opened it, and the pen drawing wasn’t there! How do I get it to save? And why isn’t it the color it’s supposed to be?

Pen tool isn’t a “drawing” tool . its a path creation tool. the “line” you create isn’t a line that you drew; its a path that you drew. If you want a line to appear there, you have to apply a stroke or use the “Line” tool from the Polygon tool choices
