You could braid it like two low braids, but four instead and fix your hair very loosely before starting the braid. Two in the front and two in the back.
I saw this somewhere once and it actually looked really cute. 🙂
But only use those small colorful or clear stretchy bands, not those one you use for ponytails.

braiding your hair to one side.
You can get really cute beach waves by twisting sections of hair around (Washing hair first) and putting them up in clips till all of your hair is twisted and it looks all weird. Then wait 30 minutes to an hour and take them down, and use your hands to style it and put Garnier surf hair putty in it. Or just use hairspray.

if you have the tools you can straighten your hair or curl it . If not you can try half pony, braid, full pony, clips, banana clip, buns ,twist! There are always hair products like mousse and gel and cream to add shape or volumize !

I think you should get blonder highlights or brown lowlights and thin it out at ur hairdresser.
Then get more layers in your hair and mousse it everyday to make it all beachy waves.
You can also straighten it sometimes or curl it.
Changing haircolor and hairstyles make you feel like a new person, they are great.
