So my dad brought fried chicken and it came with french fries and it was in a plate and covered in a plastic bag. I ate but I’m afraid it might make me sick or something.

You’ll be fine.
Plastic can leach BPA and other chemicals into your food, but it does so in small amounts. Only repeated exposure for an extended length of time has the potential to cause problems.
