  • This is about YOU – not about how your fiance feels about it. If you want to keep your name, keep it. If you instead want to hyphenate it, do so. It sounds from your question that you do not want to drop your name in favor of his. Then don’t.

  • If he is an American born man where it is traditional for the wife to take his name I can guarantee you that he would “appreciate” it. Very few men just flat out don’t give a crap. The majority of men that do care wont admit it because they don’t want to be stuck with a negative label.
