I really like a girl and think she’s real cute but she just got dumped a little over a week ago. She’s just coming out of a year relationship. She is a friend of a friend and my friend told her I thought she was cute and she got real excited and smiled and said really? Then we started talking and I managed to get her number and we’ve been texting. She told me she still loves her ex and it’s hard for her right now. I’m wondering what I should do since I like her. I want as best of a chance as possible with being more than friends with her in the future.

Ask her out to places like the movies. And just talk to her like a friend and be there to cheer her up. If you make her happy and make her laugh, she will definitely start liking you more then she already does. Cause she sounds like she has some interest in you already.
that’s a hard situation but i guess hang out more so she forgets about her ex bf cos the same thing happened to me i got dumped then started dating my bf i told him about my ex but when i started hanging out with my bf i forgot all those feelings and now im happy.
be there for her. be her friend. don’t pressure her. Just be there when she needs you to be. the rest will fall into place if it’s meant to be.
