  • I play for St Helens Under 19s (England) and was named in the England Under 16s squad a couple of years ago. I am around 5 foot 9 and weigh just under 14 stone, so I’m obviously not the biggest around. As a Half Back, my role is to get the team around the park with my passing and kicking game, and generally organise things so that we play in the right areas of the field. Unfortunately, my role and size means that I am targeted by forwards on a regular basis, but you just have to role your sleeves up and get on with it. At the end of the day, of you good enough, size doesn’t matter.

I make sure I get 2-4 gym sessions in a week after training, coupled with conditioning twice a week, and extra cardio outside of training. You can’t make yourself taller, but if you stick to that routine, you will be fine.

  • Train hard now and keep you fitness levels high, don’t go overboard with the weights just yet, young bodies are not made for it, eat up big, carbs, protein etc

  • Start drinking at Jacksons on George.
Get a heap of tats on your upper body.
