2009 dodge charger tire pressure sensors?

The back 2 sensors had cracked nuts on them, so when replaced tires, we removed them entirely and just put regular stems in the tires. Is there any safety problem with this. I imagine the dash light will no longer notify me when the tire is low, but that is no big deal.

I think these are expensive, are they not? I also noticed a recall on some 08’s of these?

  • It won’t hurt anything, but you will have an annoying flashing light in your dash at all times. They are not too expensive, but no where near as inexpensive as a normal stem.

There was a recall because they all crack as yours did. I would call to see if you’re covered. There are also updated rubber stemmed TPMS sensors which do not suffer any problems.

  • It won’t hurt anything, it just won’t tell you if their low. You could call dealership about their recall and find out if it affects your car.

  • they are not expensive)
