The back 2 sensors had cracked nuts on them, so when replaced tires, we removed them entirely and just put regular stems in the tires. Is there any safety problem with this. I imagine the dash light will no longer notify me when the tire is low, but that is no big deal.
I think these are expensive, are they not? I also noticed a recall on some 08’s of these?

There was a recall because they all crack as yours did. I would call to see if you’re covered. There are also updated rubber stemmed TPMS sensors which do not suffer any problems.
It won’t hurt anything, it just won’t tell you if their low. You could call dealership about their recall and find out if it affects your car.
