In this increasingly paranoid society, is it still okay to make a comment about guns (such as this)?

“You know why I love revolvers? Back in sophomore year of high school, I discovered Charlie’s Angels. I used to watch reruns of it. And I thought the guns they used looked cool. Would’ve been awesome to be a cop or undercover agent like the Angels in the 70s. Those revolvers were awesome–and I LOVED the car chases.”

In this gun-scared day and age, someone might read that and think I’m a crazed psycho wanting to buy a gun and shoot people.
They’ve suspended children–LITTLE KIDS–at school for making pistol shapes with their hands and other such nonsense.

I watched that show also and liked it.
My friend and I actually played cops and robbers.
We also had model rockets,bow and arrows when we were 12.
Times have changed and fear has crippled most people.
