  • A lot of species have been saved from the brink of extinction. They’re have been some, but not many that have helped us in medica history.
  • Probably not. You can’t use an endangered animal as an experimental one, for obvious reasons. It is possible that there are some that produce chemicals with medical uses, like the painkiller derived from black mamba venom, but I don’t know of any instances of those extracts being taken from an endangered animal.

    The closest I can come is rhino horn, used in Chinese traditional medicine. IDK that it really helps, though.

  • Animals are good at being freeloaders, so i doubt that they would help us find cures for diseases. DAM SONS OF BITCHES!

  • Unfortunately man exploits animals that would help us. The rhino is a great example. So to answer question no. There is no animal that is saved that has helped, just the opposite man uses up resources until its gone or almost gone. The black market is horrible at this
