What do you think of this wedding dress, please?

I think it’s perfectly beautiful… very Jackie O or Audrey Hepburn! I can see the bridesmaids wearing something similarly classic and maybe even with those little white gloves that come to the wrist? I think you give all your bridesmaid’s pearls to wear and you’ve got the making of a very classic, very elegant affair!

Who wants to look like the cookie cutter bride in the strapless dress like everyone seems to be choosing?

Oh, and wear one of those sweet little short veils with the little dots on it, like Reese Witherspoon wore in Sweet Home Alabama!

I see formal, but a more mature bride. I know you love the wedding dress, but to be honest it is very dated, and for you that you are petite, that collar is very overpowering. Don’t set your mind so rigidly like that because by the time you get married, styles will change. You don’t have to get a gown that will make you look like a prostitute, there are such georgeous wedding gowns with cap sleeves, long sleeves, but that collar is a bit much. So don’t get insulted by my comments, as I am only trying to help you. What I would do is go on line to Victorias Bridal.com and you will see the most beautiful wedding gowns ever created. There are so many other bridal websites that you can get a prospective on what is in style. So don’t jump the gun and stay open to change. The gown you like is for a bride who is very tall and statuesque and more mature. Good luck to you and keep your options open. Also buy Vogue patterns, or McCalls or Simplicity and see what they have to offer for a gown to be sewn by a seamstress. You may be surprised and the diversity and difference in styles.

I think this dress is very elegant, and although plain, we arent all marshmallow princesses are we! It has slight detail on th front and if you have an hourglass figure as you say then I reckon this will do yu alot of justice. I agree with others that it may still be wise to check out other designs/shops etc, you never know, something else may hit you as strong as this one did. However, if this is the perfect dress for you in order to make your dream wedding whenever that may be, then all I can say is GO FOR IT GIRL XX

Hiya, I think it’s lovely, it’s very 1950’s and very classy. Even if you change your mind in a few years time it wouldn’t hurt to get the pattern. I see a very elegant bride in this dress, you see some wedding dresses that only leave it to the imagination, a bride should look dignified on her wedding day not as if she is going out for the evening. And this dress shows class.

I think it is a beautiful dress. I also see it as being either fall or winter, it has a very warm appearance to it. I see the bride as being a modest yet beautiful woman, inside and out. It is for a small elegant type wedding, because it is simple yet extraordinary at the same time. I love the dress, of course I love weddings all together. Elegant but not fussy. A low-maintenance bride with grace and style. The dress is simple but fabulous.

Type of wedding: something indoors. A medium-sized church perhaps – not too fancy or fru fru. Flowers: calla lillies is what this dress screams. For the bridal bouquet – calla lillies tied in a white ribbon. Close friends and family type of wedding – 50 to 1 people.

What a beautiful dress! Abosolutely calssic; and your own suggestion of ivory silk organza is perfect; as is the antique lace veil. My own wedding dress was very plain; but I embroidered pearls around the neckline and along the lace sleeves in a random pattern.

The design would suit almost any shape, but hourglass figure especially well. I also see it as part of a very traditional wedding, with lots of bridesmaids and flower girls.

The dress is beautiful. I see that type of dress as something for a late fall/winter wedding. Traditional. Classic.

If this is what you want then yeah, get the pattern. From my recent dress buying experience, I had in my mind what I wanted and then when I started trying dresses on, for fun I tried on a dress that wasn’t anything like what I thought I wanted and it was THE dress, and its perfect for our wedding.

i think its very nice dress but i would be careful on what material the dress was made out of and who would be making it and i’d be really really careful about the type of flowers the used and even the way they place the flowers on the shoulder because i think doing that wrong would ruin the whole dress but if it were me wearing that dress i’d want a huge wedding cause it looks like the type of dress one would wear to a huge wedding and i think you’d have to be rather thin to wear that dress because the front pannle comes strait down like that and the fabric i would make it out of would be

I think the dress is stunning. But I would suggest trying on one similar before investing in the pattern/material simply to make sure it is a flattering cut for you. There’s no point wearing a beautiful dress if it’s the right style for you. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but I hope this helps.
