If I was under legal guardianship of my grandma in one state but I move to another on my own after turning , am I still considered independent? The fafsa says “were you at anytime after under guardianship of someone other than your parents in your legal state of residence” Since I wasn’t under guardianship in my current state, does it affect me? I’m so confused!

What is your legal state of residence? If you are legally a resident of your current state and are under no guardianship, then you should say that you aren’t under any guardianship. However, you need to talk to FAFSA to make sure.
