  • Some hate it because its not American

i do like F1 and NHRA INDY just as well as Nascar

  • From all of the Formula 1 races I’ve seen since 25, I’ve noticed that there is RARELY passing during a race, only the top 10 drivers get points, there is only 19 races compared to the 36 that NASCAR has, and often, the same drivers win, with the exception of last year, when 7 different drivers won the first 7 races. I think that’s why NASCAR fans hate Formula 1. But, I, on the other hand, love Formula 1 racing, as well as IndyCar racing, and NASCAR.

  • I don’t think most “hate” it; I think most find it boring. I am a huge NASCAR fan, but I can and will admit that NASCAR has turned into a pretty gimmicky sport, where F1 is strictly about the racing and nothing but the racing. Unfortunately, people seem to get too caught up in all of the gimmicks in NASCAR, and expect those same things in all professional racing leagues. Some have strictly stuck to their roots, while some have not.

  • We don’t. We just don’t like y’all thinking that F1 is so much better than Nascar. My question is what makes F1 superior to Nascar? Cause it sure as hell ain’t the racing.

For the record I like F1.

  • ive never heard anybody say they hate f1. I don’t particularly like it, personally, but I don’t hate it. I don’t like the announcers. they talk about the race like they are announcing a golf tournament. there is little action, they rarely pass. as a typical American, I like watching American drivers. I don’t relate to Italian and frech drivers whos name I cant pronounce. most americans who are race fans are more familiar with oval track racing and after awhile, it just becomes what you like to watch. I personally like Saturday night short track racing at my local tracks more than anything that gets televised.

  • Actually, I used to kind of like it back during the days of Ralph Schumacher and Mika Hakkinen but it seemed like big money dominated and no one else had a chance. Granted, NASCAR is that way too, but F1 seemed worse.

  • Formula 1 is OK……. but the cars are never going to be as loud, quick, and fast as an NHRA Top Fueler…… Maybe it’s becaused I was exposed to the likes of Don Garlits, Jeb Allen, and John Wiebe as a youngster……. I’ll watch Formula 1, but you can bet I’ll surf thru the other channels first.

  • It’s boring IMO. The races are also aired at like midnight here in The States.

  • Because they hate us.

  • Because F1 fans ask a lot of stupid questions, and think soccer is football.
