  • According to one reply, 1m = 3 1/12 yds which, contrary to the next part of his answer, 3 1/12 equals 38.299 inches, not 39.37 inches added as stated.

Then another reply said that one meter = APPROXIMATELY 1.1 yards which would still be way off as 1.1 yards equals 39.6 inches.

Well, I did something really amazing and I went to ‘google’ and typed in the words, “convert meters to yards” and … VOILA! There it was! Have you ever THOUGHT of using google (or Bing)? They are called “SEARCH ENGINES” and I thought that anyone over the age of 4 knew about them.

Here is the URL for your answer:

Well, what I found was the following:
1 m = 1.09361 yds. Now, if you wanted to convert 1.09361 yards into inches, simply multiply by 36 and you get that 1 m = 39.36996 inches which rounds to 39.37 inches.

So, since we are apparently doing your homework for you, now you must choose the most appropriate answer. In addition, you need to learn how to multiply appropriate terms and, as I said before … LEARN HOW TO DO YOUR OWN WORK and use search engines.

  • Approximately 1,1. (Very approximately 1)

To the guy who said 3½: A meter is about 3,3 *feet*, not yards. A meter is 39,37 inches though.

  • One meter is approximately 3 1/12 yards (39.37 inches).

  • 1.11
