  • Longer range?…. Easy answer…. You want a shotgun with a rifled barrel…. With this you use Sabot cartridges and you now have a gun that shoots farther than shotguns with a smooth bore barrel…..

Look over the Mossberg 5 20 gauge deer gun…..

    Use sabots…..

  • All 20 gauges have the same “power”, as they will all be 20 gauge.

Range depends on load and choke.

Are you hunting waterfowl? Reaching out with slugs for deer? Have a dog who gets too excited and kicks up pheasants far away from you?

Buy a Mossberg 5 or Remington 870 and get whatever barrel you need.

  • Not sure what you mean by “with high power and longer range”…..but you can buy a good functional used 20 ga pump on gunbroker for under $150.

  • Go with a Remington 11. Great gun and it’ll take down ground fowl and dove with the right load and shot size. I’ve taken down turkey, pheasant, dove and quail with mine, no problem. If you’re going for duck or geese you’ll need a 12ga though.

  • the gun does not determine the power or range really(unless you go into different gauges, but thats not what you asked for)….if you use 3 inch buckshot….well its gonna hit a helluva lot harder than a 2 3/4 skeet load…you use a slug it will likely go farther than 9 shot….all depends on the round not the gun

  • totally unrelated to question……BUT

erik where can u buy saigas in 20ga for 90 bucks??? give me a street address and i’ll be there with a bank loan and tractor trailer in the morning for as many as they have…..

  • it totally depends man, a Saiga 20 is like 90$ but a Remington will be allot more.
