So we have a cps problem. About 2 weeks ago cps came talking to my 3 brothers and I (im 16). They talked to my mom also about what was going on. Up until now, we havnt heard anything from them just that we know theyr coming sometime in less than a month to take a look around the house but we dont know when. The thing is, iv done reaserch that they do drug tests. I smoke marijuana &im wondering will they drug test me? If im not home when they come (which im usually not home) would they come back again to drug test me and talk to me?

Well Mr. Troll — Like the Police, CPS doesnt make appointments or inform possible criminals that they will be around to investigate “sometimes this month”. So your safe.

For starters I’m not going to be judgmental, at least I’m not trying to be, but, I started smoking cigarettes at age 15 but smoking Marijuana at 16? You do know that pot IS a drug and IS illegal, at least it is in NJ. For one if your parents know you’re smoking it, CPS has every right to take you away from them if they find out. If you cared about your parents or cared about staying with them, you would quit. All Marijuana does is fry your brain cells, make you stupid, and causes paranoia. Is it really worth it? They can do a drug test if they suspect you are doing drugs, if the reason they showed up at your doorstep was because of suspected drug use, they will test you and your parents, without a doubt. I’m sorry but you need to cut out the pot habit for good. I know that Marijuana can do some good for you in certain ways but in my opinion the bad out weighs the good. I’m not trying to piss you off by saying Marijuana is the worst thing in the world but my boyfriends dad smokes it and has for years and when he comes over and you talk to him, he stares off into the TV and you have to repeat yourself many times before he tunes back in, when he talks to you he looks off either above your head or to the side like he’s talking to someone else, he’s always paranoid, thinking his truck is bugged and its life consuming. Dude, please quit.

It depends on what they’re investigating. I’m not an expert but I would guess they will not say, “Oh he/she’s not here. Oh well never mind.” They will investigate and not leave anyone out I’m sure.
